Rules

All UTBC Club Competitions will continue to be played under Association rules for the 2026 season (NIPGL for Men/Mixed, NIWPGL for Ladies).

Challenge Cup Entry Criteria

  • Ladies - Only players who have NOT won the Challenge Cup may enter the event.
  • Men - Only players who have NOT won a UTBC Club Competition may enter the event.
  • Any player who has only been a sub in the Final for a Winning Pair or Triple may enter the Challenge Cup providing the other cirterion above has been met.

Veterans Age Criteria

All players must be 60+ years of age at the time of the draw to qualify as a Veteran.

Reserved Rinks

If required, due to the number of entries, specific rinks will be reserved on available Thursday evenings and Sundays for competition matches on those dates.

Cut Off Dates

Due to the large number of NIPGL/NIWPGL League and Cup matches as well as NIPGL/NIWPGL Competitions, all competitors will be given specific dates and times to play their matches.

If you are unable to play the tie on the specific date and time you must arrange an earlier date/time with your opponent (give them at least 2 options) and keep the Competitions Committee informed/updated either directly or in the Competition WhatsApp Group.

Any matches not played by the cut off dates will result in the removal from the competition of all players/teams involved in those games.

Conduct

Players/Teams will be disqualified for any unacceptable behaviour during the competitions.

Live Draw

The Live Draw will take place at Ulster Transport Bowling Club on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 at 7pm.

The Pairs and Mixed Triples teams will be matched by a draw before the draw for all competitions.

The draw in each competition for every Player/Pair/Mixed Triple will identify matches and which round they will be played in.
